What we collect.

Nothing. Notch collects no personal or sensitive data about you and uses no identifiers. It declares no internet permission and sends nothing anywhere.

Where your data lives.

Everything you log stays on your device, in the app’s local storage, with no account, login, or cloud of the app’s own. Because nothing is transmitted, there is nothing for us to hold on a server, share with a third party, or transfer across borders.

Your own device backup.

The only copy of your data that can leave the device is your phone’s own backup, which you control at the operating-system level. Cloud backup is encrypted and managed by your Google backup settings; device-to-device transfer carries your data to a new phone. Notch never initiates either; the operating system does, on your instruction.

Retention and deletion.

Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep the app. You can delete a habit and its entries from within the app at any time. Uninstalling Notch removes its on-device data. Any copy in your device backup is governed by your own operating-system backup settings, which you control.

Play Store statistics.

As the app’s distributor, the Google Play Store provides us with aggregate, anonymous statistics about installs and usage (for example, how many devices have the app and broad retention trends). We cannot see, and do not receive, anything about what you log.

No trackers.

There are no analytics SDKs, no trackers, no advertising identifiers, and no third parties in the app.

Children.

Notch is not directed to children, and collects no data from anyone, including children.
